The question itself lacks context. This article will set the context and introduce you to the different versions of the deadlift. You will then learn about the differences between the sumo, conventional and trap bar deadlift in more detail. The sumo and conventional deadlift are on equal terms for maximum strength with minor individual differences. The trap bar deadlift is best for high repetition work for muscle gains with a lower risk of injury.

Stronglifts can be done with dumbbells except for the back squat. Therefore I prefer adjustable kettlebells for doing Stronglifts at home as you can replicate all movements. Ideally, you rethink why you do not want to do Stronglifts 5x5 like it was intended. This article walks you through and -you can contact me via pascal@marathon-crossfit.com for questions.

This article is part of a series to explain the deadlift in simple terms. I will outline how you can start, which program to use and how you will progress. You will also learn from my mistakes to avoid them. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me at pascal@marathon-crossfit.com. Gentlemen start with 60kg, while women tend to start with 40kg for a barbell deadlift.

This article is brought to you by Kettlebell Kings. I mentioned them before on my blog in a different post. I am not surprised that they were the first Kettlebell company to reach out to me. It fits to their innovative approach to the industry by challenging the pood system. They were no commissions offered for the post apart from the content itself. The content helped me to understand the differences between the two styles on a deeper level.
