What should I eat to lose weight ?

All in all you can eat everything in moderation if you are active. The main thing is to understand what your body needs at which point and be smart about what you put into your mouth. If you start counting calories or avoiding some food groups altogether, you might be a victim of some elaborate scheme.

Macronutrients

As my dear coworker who is sitting right next to me is just starting out in fitness again after university and I have been there I thought it would be helpful to write up some tips on how to get the most out of your gym based on my experiences. Main tips are having a goal, a plan, staying local, keeping distances short & paying a little more than average to have trainers and equipment available when you roll in to get clanging and banging. Why should i run a marathon ?

Considering that the first person ever to run a marathon died and that Chuck Norris did not run a marathon this is a fair question to ask. I've run two marathons now, Dublin 2013 in 3:58, Frankfurt 2014 in 4:06 and for me Marathon running was the start of a better life. Since i became a marathon runner i am more fit, a better example to my stepson & stepdaughter, have more money in the bank and i am more happy all around. If those reasons are not good enough for you, be my guest.

There are some very interesting examples like Frank Medrano who maintains a high level of strength as a vegan. But why let yourself in for a stringent diet regime when the basics are so simple to get started.

A simple equation to make losing weight easy

5 steps to run faster, get stronger and be smarter

As long as you do not know why you are setting the goal you will easily get distracted by other things which are seemingly more important. Simon Sinek's TED Talk will help you to clearer identify your purpose and why it is relevant to have an overarching positive value concept.
