This is an article provided by Wendy Dessler from Blogfrog.com. BlogFrog identifies the top blogs for you so that you know what is good. As Wendy is a bit more into dancing than I am she contributed this well-written article for us. I did dancing lessons with my wife to prepare for our wedding in July 2017. We had a lot of fun doing it and it was worth the while to do something together. Enjoy the read and get fit.

Summertime is here, and the beaches are filling up with beautiful bodies. But, for those of us who took the holidays a little too seriously are now trying to figure out how we can get out of our swimsuit cover-up and get to the water before anyone can see us.

We know we need to lose those pounds that are making us miserable, and we have no problem cutting back on food. But toning up our muscles is a whole different story. Some of us hate the very word exercise. It sends panic into our very soul. You see there are exercises that are designed to lose weight. That requires getting your heart rate up and keeping it up. That trips the switch on your body that burns the most abundant source of energy, body fat. Keeping your protein levels up, which is a slow burning fuel, and avoiding carbohydrates and sugar (a fast burning fuel) the pounds will come off. This is not easy, but it is simple enough,

Going to the gym is a dreadful experience when you do not have those tight muscles. You put on your sweats and try to act like you are just cold. The leotard-clad women are running on treadmills, riding stationary bikes, and some are lifting weights. There is a magic running track around the top of the room. It must be magic because every woman that is running is doing so in slow-motion their bodies defy gravity. They are running and their hair flows behind her, and we assume the 4-men in black trying to catch her and lay claim to success.

When you joined you were told all the men in the really tight black tank tops were employees, who will guide you, getting you the results you need, Realizing, you only have Tuesday nights to work out, you are looking for a bulging black tank top, so he can help me get the result I need by Tuesday. The problem is, every time I spot one and make eye contact with him, he suddenly finds a client that needs to lose 1/8th of an inch off her feet and then she will have the perfect body. But don’t the.

Invest in your dance clothes.

In some cases, (like with dance shoes) it is important to your health. The same is true, with leotards, tights, dance pants, and warm-up clothes. Now all dances do not require all of these items. Check with your instructor and let them determine the correct pieces for your selection. But pay attention to what they tell you. They know what you need, and they are the pros!

Let’s go dancing!

The first thing you will need is quality ballet shoes and finding the best place to order ballet shoes online. Eventually, you may love dance and wonder into that class. You may think the dancers are just wearing sneakers, They are not. There are a number of different dance shoes. While these shoes protect the dance floor, that is not their reason for production. Dance shoes are designed to fit the dance you will select.

Before you begin

Get some practice and knowledge on what dancing for health really means. Consult dance instructors, and your child’s doctor if your child is going to take dance as well..

Make it a group effort

Try to get your spouse into it. Get your friends, family, and coworkers into it. You will find it is a lot more fun that way. Hype it up. Set up social media pages. Concentrate on fitness. Celebrate life

Below we will give you a couple of moves to motivate you. We urge you to get started today. The results are faster than any other program we have tried.

Grapevine and Hop

Stand with your feet a few inches apart. Clasp your hands behind your back (you can practice with your hands-free until you get used to the movements). Step your left foot to the left, step your right foot behind your left, and step your left foot out once more. Then jump up and clap simultaneously. Do the same steps going to the right. Here is a slow moving tutorial to help you get started.

The Balance

The balance is also known as the "waltz." It is a three-step combination in which the dance steps to the side with one foot, lifts onto the ball of the second foot from behind the ankle, then replaces weight on the ball of the first foot to begin again on the other side. Here is a tutorial for the balance. Please note, with practice you can do this with handstands and forearms.

Do not limit yourself! Throughout history, there have been many dances created. Don’t just concentrate on your era. You may find you love the dances of the roaring 20’s. The 1920’s was the age of rebellion. They cropped off their hair and shortened their dancing dresses. This was the age of Jazz. You might fall in love with:

  • The Charleston
  • The Fox Trot
  • Texas Tommy

Give the 1950’s a try. This was one of the most mix it up ages there was. Romance was in the air with “Ol Blue Eyes” Frank Sinatra. But rock and roll was on the top of the charts with Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and Buddy Holly. Not to mention the Cronies. If you can't find a dance to dance from in this era, ask anyone over 55.

The 60’s were an anything-goes time. Do The Pony, The Jerk, or just get into the muscle and move! This was the day of Diana Ross, The Temptations, The Monkeys, and harder bands like The Rolling stone, and the Grateful Dead. Try them all and find the nitch you Once you do, you will look forward to going weekly. You will live the way it feels to be able to dance longer.

So check out some dance schools. Check out some music. Drink plenty of water, watch your diet and save some money.

So get those dancing shoes on order and get ready for the best time you’ve had in a long time. You will have a lot of fun doing it and get our body in shape as well!

Can’t I just do it?

Of course, you can get with somebody who thinks, they can just do. You can dance your heart out. But it takes a pro to show you the moves and explain how to get the most out of the dance, and how it will help you, and what not to do so it will not hurt you. Fight the urge to go past what your instructor tells you.

We all have times when we must change our lifestyle. We all want our children to be healthy both physically and mentally. When a child grows up with self-confidence, nothing and no one can bring them down. When we teach our children that they can do anything they want to do, it makes them stronger. We cannot teach other children to stop being bullies. It's their own self-worth they are expressing. But we can make our children bully-proof, by giving them confidence, structure, and that their opinion of themselves is all that matters.
