Pros of the SR 343

If you are set out to break records this is what you need to get. This also applies if you appreciate high-performance engineering and attention to detail. This is a product Rogue is especially proud of and this is why it is shipped in a special box.

Cons of the SR 343

This is not a jump rope for beginners. You will whip yourself at high speed and wreak a rather expensive jump rope. Great as a gift for someone you know is into double unders as they most likely won’t buy it for themselves. Bad for your kids to play around with or someone who just starts.

Alternatives to the SR 343

Alternatives to the SR 343 are

The SR3 jump rope is the bread and butter model in the CrossFit community. If you are annoyed with the jump rope from the local shop and want to start with double unders, this is the one for you. It is part of many of the Rogue equipment packages and can also be bought in bulk to outfit an affiliate or college gym.

The SR1 jump rope is an alternative to get a bearing jump rope on the cheap. The SR1 also has bearing to make the rope run smoothly but the handles are not made of Aluminium. This makes them lighter and more cost-efficient at the expense of being easier to break.

The Rogue Pro Jump Rope is the ultimate jump rope from Rogue. It combines the speed of the speed ropes with the weight of heavy ropes to create the most challenging and satisfying jump rope experience from Rogue. This product is also fully manufactured in the States. Apart from the price, there is nothing bad to be said about it since its first appearance at the CrossFit 2016 games.

Summary for the SR 343

The SR 343 is the Apex in speed Rogue has to offer and is worth the money. There is only one better option from Rogue which fulfills a different purpose which is the Rogue Pro model. The only thing to say about this is that you probably would not get a Ferrari for someone who did not even pass their driving license.

Overview of the RPM Comp rope

The RPM comp rope has been co-designed by Rogue and Jason Khalipa to deliver an ultimate machine for fast spinning with Aluminium handles. This jump rope comes in black with extra precision knurling to prevent it from slipping from your hands. The cable is bare steel compared to the RPM speed rope version. Therefore it should be used on rubber floors only. Specs of the RPM comp rope are:

  • Co-developed with Jason Khalipa
  • Adjustable 12' Bare Steel Speed Cable
  • Precision-machined Aluminum Handles: Aggressive Knurl + Rogue Branding
  • Dual Axis Rotation design reduces torque in the cable
  • Oilite Bushing System for a smooth spin, reduced friction
  • Comes with Microfiber Storage Bag
  • Recommend 1.8MM - Bare steel cable
  • Recommend the 1.8MM Adjustable Screws

Pros of the RPM comp rope

No compromise on the speed with a bushing design. The bare steel cable makes you perform and every single piece of this jump rope has been designed to perform.
