What kind of deadlift bars are there ?

The deadlift is personally my most favourite lift. When you want to reach peak performance it can help to change up the routine. I have personally not extensively tried the approach of varying the stance, grip, bars and loads constantly, but here is an overiew for you which bars made help to make this easier for you.

Extensive Stronglift 5x5 ten-month review

Stronglifts 5x5 is one of the cookie-cutter programs with a linear progression that is designed especially for beginners who want to work with a barbell. Personally, I have done the program from 2014 to 2015 as an entry to the world of strength after running three marathons for consecutive years. After sticking with the program for ten months I changed my regimen because of a tennis elbow. My end results were a 122.5kg bench press, 120kg Squat, and 165kg deadlift. You can find the video evidence for this at the end of this post. Since then I have pushed my squat to 185kg, bench press to 150kg, and deadlift to 200kg which you can refer to via this link to my mock meet on Instagram in 2021.

How to ensure good form for benching, squatting & deadlifting

I have been lifting for a year now and I am far from perfect. I went up to 137.5 kg on the squat with a cheat squat. I realized a bit late that the form was weak and did not provide me with the gains I wanted. Proof was my weak performances on the thruster, where I just could not build up speed. A squat of 137.5 kg and that I had to scale Fran at the same time just did not add up and  I went back down to grind my way back up from 80kg with great results. My squat felt never more powerful at 102.5kg.

Starting strength routine: Advanced tips for 5x5 Stronglift program

The disheartening news is that i start the new year only with 10kg more on my squat then in September. The good new is that I actually get my butt down now and also have bumped up my bench to 90kg 5x5 and my deadlift to 140kg 1x5. If you do not know what the 5x5 Stronglift program is, look it up here.
