Starting strength routine:

30 Day Free Abs challenge

The free 30 day Abs challenge on the itunes store caught my eye when I realized that i had to add more dedicated training to attack my abs. More challenging than expected I incorporated it as a warm up for my weightlifting. I was so satisfied that I bought the full version.

Handling

Once downloaded the app gives you a 30 day progression as described above. Rest days are already taken care of, the only thing you have to do is to do the excercises. You can easily share through social media and make everyone else jealous or have a conversion piece at the next party. No glitches, straight forward 5 out of 5 stars for handling from me.

Exercises

The app explains all of the exercises clearly in writing. You might want to check YouTube to see the full range of motion on some of them, if you are not familiar with them already. The routine takes about 20 - 30 minutes out of your day and only needs a place where you can lay flat on the ground.

Pros and cons

A big pro is the progression and that you attack your abs with a range of excercises. Free is also a big plus. Cons are that the program can not really be repeated, as by the end you have surprassed your day 1 level by far and this program only trains your abs, nothing else. If you are just starting out I recommend to get the 30 Day Free Push up Challenge also, to have a full 45 minute workout with in built progression.

Conclusion

Either to get your workout regime started or to incorporate the routine as a warm up for more experienced fitness freaks, this is a nice no/low cost option and great for everyone who does not want to run or is afraid of the gym / weights.
