You can combine Stronglifts with the keto diet to lose weight while gaining strength. The main drain on strength comes from a caloric deficit. You don’t need to go on one me when on keto. Comparing the leg press and deadlift is a case of apples and oranges. A better pairing would be the squat and the deadlift. The leg press will mainly focus on the legs while the deadlift does train most of your body. The leg press has a lower risk of injury in turn and is easier to learn. You will need specialized machines which take up a lot of space to do the leg press.
