Comparing the leg press and deadlift is a case of apples and oranges. A better pairing would be the squat and the deadlift. The leg press will mainly focus on the legs while the deadlift does train most of your body. The leg press has a lower risk of injury in turn and is easier to learn. You will need specialized machines which take up a lot of space to do the leg press

Can you do Stronglifts twice a week?

 

You can train twice a week on Stronglifts. If you want to do this, be prepared that you will not get the same results as others. It is also a lot more likely that you will quit the program. If you want to train only twice a week due to a lack of time I have some ideas for you. If you want to train only twice a week because of other training commitments, rethink whether you want to detract from that main sport with a half-assed strength cycle.

This is a realisation I made when researching for data around fathers as I want to figure out who I can help most with Marathon-Crossfit for forming new habits. My hunch is that based on my experience and background I can help stepfathers, adolescents without a father and single mothers most credibly. This would be based on forming better habits and discipline as these always helped me excel.

What is Smolov Jr ?

In its essence, Smolov is a high frequency, high load, focused rep scheme for advanced lifters to push one of their main lifts. Usually, it is used in powerlifting. The Smolov Jr name is a result of the program being a the base cycle of its bigger brother. It lasts for a month and can be used as a bridge or focus program between two bigger cycles.
