German Volume Training and High-Intensity IntervalTraining can be combined. Focus first on your main goal. Pick one of the two programs and a matching diet. If that does not make you bigger or more chiseled, expand the exercise by adding GVT or HIIT. Avoid doing a lot of exercise with pairing it with proper dieting.

You can deadlift and run. They will distract from each other if you want to be successful in endurance or strength. If you want to get ripped focus on diet. If you want to avoid injuries in running and have the time, lift to lower the likelihood of injury.
