Best Knee sleeves from Rehband review

I personally own the Rehband Froning series. It matches my black and red Adidas weight lifting shoes and the Garmin forerunner 220. I did not plan this, but it works. Once you get serious about lifting I would recommend to get a pair.

5 triathlons to do when you get bored with city marathons

Some people are extrme, really extreme. I am personally still at the city marathon phase, as I want to do one under 3 hours before moving on to other endurance events. Some of you still will find that too boring or already have done many. There also the ones who are collecting marathons and ticking them off to the magic 100. I bow to those people, because that means 2 marathons each year for 50 years. For everybody else who wants to stay extreme, but also have some change, here are some triathlons to consider.

Best gym shorts

I have owned running shorts, judo trousers, skins, jogging pants, jeans, shinos, suite trousers, you name it. Fight shorts are by far the most comfortable and best pair of leg cloth i have owned so far. They are a bit pricey, but worth every euro.

4 quick protein packed snacks for crossfitters

Snacks should be under 350 calories each, so be mindful about how much of this you prepare. I personally have to get better at preparing my snacks for work. This post is an attempt for making a start. These snacks have been taken from the April 2015 issue of muscle and fitness.

6 runs to do if a marathon is not enough for you

It is crazy enough to run a marathon. Some people would even say it is crazy to run at all. There are a distinct few who will say "city marathons bore me, it goes all in a flat circle for 3 to 4 hours, nothing to see, nothing special to do". If you are of the first group, here is your shock and awe therapy that there events which are even more hideous than a marathon. To the second group I say: Add these to your bucket list.

How to do a 10 Minute warm up for crossfit and marathon

I have searched far and wide for a proper warm up, that gives me the flexibility to lift and pop the hips, spine, feet, knees, wrists and hands in the right places to go to the barbell nice and fresh. I also wanted a warm that I can do with any extra equipment and does not eat up half an hour. This routine will not help you with your mobility defencies but oil the joints to step to the plate.

How to ensure Vitamin D supply for marathon and crossfit

When you are exercising a lot you have to take care of your nutrition to stay healthy. Vitamin D is a vital part and I personally cover my intake with one tablespoon of cod liver oil a day with good results. I am still injury free when it comes to my bones and muscles with two years of marathon training and one year of crossfitting aged 29.

What happens to marathon quitters ?

I have run two marathons now and know the pain and agony you go through when your body revolts beneath you. In both of them I considered quitting. Back here at my desk I was wondering, what would have happened if I quit the distance. Dialing for a cab without a mobile ? Get your relatives to pick you up somewhere in the middle of nowhere ? Being brought back to the finish line by medics ? My quick internet research shows, that there are not many reports about what happens when you quit before the final line. Most people make it to the finish line, if they make it to the start. It seems that most of the quitting population do not even show up to race day.
