Run the Dublin Race series 2015

I am in my third year for the Dublin race series now and I really do enjoy it. I started in 2013 and did the whole series including the Dublin marathon with a finishing time of 3:58. This year I have prepared for the Vienna marathon on 12th of April to build a base and then hopefully run the elusive sub 3 marathon in October this year. Fingers crossed.

This time I will actually sit down and make a plan on how to achieve my goal, rather than just show up and do my best as I did in my first marathon or completely overdo it like in my second. Funnily enough my result without over pacing was better than in my second marathon.

I personally love the movie Forrest Gump. My favorite scene is when Forrest proposes to Jenni, she refuses and Forrest says "I am not a smart man, but i know what love is". Forrest plays ping, pong, becomes a war hero, owns parts of apple and also runs. He is not the only who crossed a nation on foot. Usually these injuries occur because if shock or over usage and not paying attention to form while running, ignoring injuries or simply overreaching in your efforts. Luckily I do not have first hand experience with these injuries, as I stick to my guns and rest when my body calls for it. Here are some tips I found for those of you who face these injuries. After a having a real setback in February being diagnosed with busirtis I had a good comeback in march 2015. Joining the new gym I am incorporating a lot more new exercises. In addition I experienced with Crossfit wods I had not done before and my personal highlights are a new training best on 10k with 50.25 for 2015 and a new all time best for deadlifts with 150kg lifted 5 times.

How you can lift 400kg with no relevant knowledge or training

You might wonder that this sounds impossible and strange, maybe even dangerous. You might say to yourself “On steroids everything is possible” or “With the right lever I can lift anything”. This is all true, but I did it with free weights, no special lever and no steroids. It took me from June 28th 2014 until 2nd to April 2015, but it was worth it. I totaled a powerlift record of squat, bench and deadlift at 407.5kg compiled of a 122.5kg press, 120kg Squat and 165kg deadlift using the Stronglift 5x5 program.
