Starting strength routine:

30 Day Free Push up challenge

The free 30 day push up challenge came into my repertoire after completing the first 30 day Ab challenge to have an all body workout in 45 minutes prior to Stronglifts 5x5. I was so satisfied that I went on to buy the full version which I am still using.

Handling

Once downloaded the app gives you a 30 day progression as described above. Rest days are already taken care of, the only thing you have to do is to do the excercises. You can easily share through social media and make everyone else jealous or have a conversion piece at the next party. No glitches, straight forward 5 out of 5 stars for handling from me.

Exercises

The app explains all of the exercises clearly in writing. You might want to check YouTube to see the full range of motion on some of them, if you are not familiar with them already. The routine takes about 20 - 30 minutes out of your day and only needs a place where you can lay flat on the ground.

Pros and cons

Pros are the progression and simplicity of the program. One con is that compared to the 30 Day Ab challenge there is no variation of excercises. It is only push ups for 30 days. Furthermore i am pretty sure that someone who is able to do the beginner level of the Ab challenge will find the push up challenge rather unchallenging. Different topic if you are not able to do push ups yet or you can barely do three. Than this is for you.

Conclusion

Either to get your workout regime started or to incorporate the routine as a warm up for more experienced fitness freaks, this is a nice low cost option and great for everyone who does not want to run or is afraid of the gym / weights. Just be aware that the most basic level is pretty boring.
